Choreography & Performances

As a Dancer, Performer, and Choreographer, I bring a unique mix of creativity, insight, and professionalism to each performance and project. My work explores the beauty and power of movement and expression, revealing the potential of the human spirit - both physically and emotionally. I am passionate about inspiring creativity, encouraging expression, and celebrating the courage to be oneself.
In a world too often marked by conflict, division, and separation, where hatred and misunderstanding seem to shape so much of our lives, I strive to make my art a force of connection and hope. Through dance and performance, I offer an alternative—an invitation to see the world differently, to reconnect with our shared humanity, and to remember the power of compassion. My work is a bridge, reaching beyond differences, bringing light, playfulness, and freedom, and offering a message of hope to all who experience it.

Why I love performing
There is something deeply fulfilling about performing—the intense focus, awareness, and presence that comes alive on stage. Each performance is an opportunity to create a shared experience, a kind of magic that connects with the audience in unexpected ways. It’s like a journey with them, where each moment holds mystery and meaning. The discipline of rehearsal, even its frustrations, fuels my creativity, and I’m drawn to the beauty of the creative process itself.
I cherish a genuine connection with the audience, aiming to offer something authentic and meaningful, without distance or pretension. To me, clarity and mystery can coexist on stage, inviting curiosity and reflection in those who watch.

Why I Love Creating
Creating gives me the chance to connect with an inner sense of playfulness and curiosity. The creative process feels like an exploration—a way to understand and express life itself, with all its joy and wonder.

Essence of My Dance Approach

I value curiosity, play, and the courage to explore. As a dancer, I strive to push boundaries, inspire, surprise, and engage, blending a sense of humor and depth with an authentic love for the art of movement. My experiences bring a unique perspective and boldness to my performances. Ideas flow naturally for me, like a constant spring of inspiration, and I am always drawn to expand my awareness of presence, emotion, and the energy shared with the audience. During each performance, I aim to be fully aware of the natural dynamics at play—the changes in feeling, energy, and timing—responding not out of habit but with purpose, creating a richer and more authentic connection.

What Makes Great Art?
Great art, to me, is like graceful movement: it combines presence, clarity, and awareness. Art that respects timing, rhythm, and sensory experience can be beautiful, even if it challenges or discomforts us. I believe that a powerful connection between artist and audience creates a shared consciousness that opens new paths for growth and discovery.

What Makes Good Choreography?
Good choreography is thoughtful and intentional, woven with both emotional and physical experiences. It balances structure and spontaneity, allowing each dancer’s unique expression to breathe within the piece.

My Approach to the Creative Process
I work to create an atmosphere of presence and awareness in rehearsals, where dancers feel free and in tune with the movement. I guide them to explore movement that feels natural and purposeful, encouraging both comfort and precision.

About me (and my exprince)

chameleon (1)_edited_edited.png

Hi! My name is Adi Levinson. I’m a certified Feldenkrais Method teacher, dancer, and movement artist, with a diploma in social work specializing in trauma and stress management....

My Creations

2022: "Corpus Callosum"
is a solo piece deeply inspired by the physical and mental stages of infant development. I am proud to share that this work has received several awards and grants, recognizing its unique impact and artistic vision.

2023: "I love my tooth"
This piece was created for three dancers and draws inspiration from a figure who profoundly inspires me: Alejandro Jodorowsky, specifically his film "Dance of Reality."

2021: "I’m with you"
A duet created for two dancers, inspired by the interplay of gender, childhood and adulthood, humanity and animalistic instincts.
